Nuits de Fourvière is devoted to the performing arts and since 1946 has worked to make the disciplines coexist: theater, music, dance, opera, circus, cinema, etc. Every summer, in June and July, the festival presents nearly 60 performances in the Gallo-Roman theaters of Fourvière for more than 130,000 spectators. If multidisciplinarity is a criterion, it is in no way an absolute rule. The festival guarantees its openness and modernity while avoiding to standardize or thematize. Nuits de Fourvière also wants to be a festival of creation by producing certain shows, inviting artists and artisans who make them. Producing high-quality works for the greatest number, retaining internationally renowned artists, developing new media artists with little presence, and new or unknown artists in France are among the requirements of the artistic line of the festival.

The Paris Jazz Festival is a music festival that takes place outdoors between mid-June and late July on the green lawns of the Parc Floral de Paris. The shows occur in different locations of the park, with more than 30 concerts in total, spread over 8 weekends. The program features jazz, world music and African-American music (soul, blues). Didier Lockwood, Rhoda Scott, Erik Truffaz, Cesária Évora, Marcus Miller, Rokia Traoré and Manu Dibango have performed at the Paris Jazz Festival in previous editions. In addition to the concerts, many activities enrich the program during the day, such as workshops making instruments with objects of recovery, introductory sessions to percussion or conferences on the language of plants or music. A space of awakening to sounds is set up for children in the heart of the botanical garden. All entertainment and concerts are free, only access to the park is not free. The event attracts nearly 110,000 visitors.

Jazz in Marciac is a musical event held under the starry sky of August since 1978. More than 200,000 people meet every year in the small village of Marciac to enjoy this meeting with famous jazzmen or young musicians . For a fortnight, the concerts are played under a giant marquee or at the Astrada.
An off festival also takes place on the main square of Marciac, which has retained its medieval arcades. Smaller Jazz in Marciac sessions are also scheduled for other seasons of the year.

Created in 1986, the Ramatuelle jazz festival is focused on jazz swing.
